USB Floppy Disk Drive Support Status

The USB Floppy Enabler (Ver. 2.1.4) makes it possible to install PACE protected applications using an external USB FDD on systems not equipped with an internal FDD, such as the Power Macintosh G3 (Blue&White), G4, PowerBook G3 and G4s, iMac (including DV and DV Special Edition), and iBook. The latest device driver from the FDD manufacturer is also required.

We cannot assure normal operation for any USB FDD not on the Supported USB Floppy Disk Drives list, so if you are considering purchasing a USB FDD not on this list, please contact the drive manufacturer for compatibility information.

Users who have already installed PACE protected applications using prior versions of the USB Floppy Enabler are advised to remove the older version from the Extensions folder and then upgrade to the newest version.
