USB Floppy Disk Drive Support Status
The USB Floppy Enabler (Ver. 2.1.2) makes it possible to install PACE protected applications using an external USB FDD on systems not equipped with internal FDD, such as the Power Macintosh G3 (Blue&WHite), G4, iMac, New PowerBook G3 and G4s, New iMac (including DV and DV Special Edition) and iBook.
PACE protected applications can be installed to the Power Macintosh G3 (Blue&WHite), G4, iMac, New PowerBook G3 and G4s and New iMac (including DV and DV Special Edition) with the USB Floppy Enabler (Ver. 2.1.2) and the latest device driver from the FDD manufacturer.
We cannot assure normal operation for any USB FDD not on this list, so if you are considering purchasing an USB FDD not on this list, please contact the drive manufacturer for compatibility.
Users who have already installed PACE protected applications using prior versions of the USB Floppy Enabler are advised to remove the older version from the Extensions folder, and upgrade to the newest version.

Logitech has commented it has no plans to provide support in its USB FDD units LFD-31U/M in various colors (BB, GP, TG, LM, SB, BK).

Yano Electric has upgraded its driver for the UFD-03 to version 1.2.3 (December 9, 1999).
TORICA TRLS120SB Super Disk Drive now supported (December 1, 1999).
Imation 2x Super Disk Drive SDD-120USBWM2X not supported (August 25, 1999).
Panasonic LK-RMB33UY and LK-RMB33UZ are identical drives.
The LK-RMB33UY was released in June 1999 as a Windows-only drive, but by installing the above-mentioned USB Floppy Enabler can also be used on Macintosh machines.
The LK-RMB33UZ is shipped with the USB Floppy Enabler, and can therefore be used on both Windows and Macintosh systems (released August 2, 1999)..
