The iLok smart key enables you to carry all of your authorizations with you wherever you go. With iLok all of your authorizations can be stored on a single key. No more lost authorization due to computer problems. iLok is portable, convenient and hassle free.

• Authorize your software in multiple ways: iLok-enabled software can be activated via the Internet, telephone, fax, or with PACE's new GSM Smart Card license cards. Now you have a choice.
• It's portable: PACE's new iLok technology enables you to easily transfer authorization from one computer to another. Use your software at home, at the office, at your studio, or at a friend's house. iLok makes it portable.
• It supports multiple authorizations: As long as your software is iLok-enabled, you can store all of your authorizations on one iLok device even if your software is published by multiple developers.
• It's cross-platform compatible: iLok works on both Windows and Macintosh operating systems.

Here’s how it works:

Many iLok-enabled software products ship with a License Card in the box. About the same size as a credit card, a License Card holds authorization using the same "Smart Card" technology used on GSM cell phones and American Express cards.

The chip on the License Card contains the authorization license necessary to activate and run the software you purchased. Simply insert the GSM format license card into the iLok when prompted by the software. Your software authorizes instantly.

In addition to License Cards, developers can offer iLok authorizations using Challenge/Response or serial numbers. You can even authorize software purchased over the Internet with a single click -- and there's no code words or long numbers to type in.

And, of course, once authorized, your authorizations are stored safely and securely inside the solid-state iLok smart key.
